Ciao a tutti! Mi sono appena trasferito in Svezia per lavoro e ho trovato un bel posto in cui vivere, che è una piccola baita su una proprietà più grande (con una casa principale e un’altra baita). Quando mi sono trasferito, i proprietari hanno detto che avevano appena installato un sistema di sicurezza nella cabina “a titolo di cortesia” nei miei confronti. Questo nuovo sistema include una telecamera di sicurezza nella mia camera da letto (e il mio letto è sicuramente nel suo campo visivo). Ho allegato una foto della fotocamera. L’ho trovato davvero inquietante e ne ho parlato subito, ma penso anche che potrebbe avere una registrazione audio. Inoltre, quando ho chiesto come avrei potuto ricevere avvisi dal sistema, hanno detto che non potevo e che tutti gli avvisi (come quando viene attivato l’allarme) sarebbero andati a loro. E hanno iniziato a farmi domande, ad esempio se imposto o meno il sistema quando sono assente. Sono anche molto ficcanaso e vengono costantemente alla mia porta, entrano nello spazio sotto la cabina (di cui non mi hanno mai parlato), ecc. Vorrei chiedere loro di rimuovere la fotocamera, ma ho la sensazione che mi inasprirà rapporto con loro. Al contrario, mi sento così a disagio a riguardo. Quando il mio partner viene a trovarmi, mi sento a disagio riguardo alla telecamera/audio. Posso confermare che una telecamera del genere non è normale da noi e che ho il diritto di chiederne la rimozione?

Looks like a standard camera that Verisure is using or maybe Sector Alarm. Do you have a keypad somewhere near the front door? Maybe some decals/stickers outside on the house/cabin?
Really weird though that they had one installed in the bedroom.
We are direct. Just tell them you want it removed.
It definitely doesn’t sound normal.

Having a security camera in your bedroom is not considered normal and having them setting it up for you is suspicios as hell (and possibly illegal).
It’s very problematic, although there is some questions.
Are you allowed to live there for frees (as a guest, i.e it’s not your dwelling).
If so, and you were warned about the camera beforehand, I’m not entirely sure what legs you have to stand on, although I’m sure you have some legs to stand on, due to an expectation of privacy. In this case you should contact a lawyer.
Case two. You are renting the place. In this case you have much stronger protection.
Have they applied for a permit to have video surveillance? Is it stated in your contract that they can film you? Etc.
In this scenario, you NEED to contact a lawyer, or Hyresgästföreningen. Your rights have most likely been violated.
And in both scenarios, i think they violated your rights under GDPR.
Tldr; contact a lawyer, your rights might have been seriously violated.

They are for a burguly alarm.
I dont know how their app works but owners can take pictures with the camera. Im not sure if they can take pictures when the alarm is off, or only when the alarm in turned on.
Its veriweird that they installed a camera in a bedroom.
Alarm companies are not supposed to do that to avoid gdpr incidents.
Edit: it does not have audio uptake. And you have the right to have them take it down.
Its illegal to monitor people against their will.
You can ask them to swap it out for an IR-motionsensor if they insist on aving a burglury alarm i the cabin.
Its Verisures mark on that one. So it only activates and takes pictures once the alarm goes off. No monitoring going on. Once the alarm goes off, pictures are sent to Verisure. Its an automatic system. All their motion triggered sensors look like that, the bottom part is the sensor, triggering the capture. But only when the alarm is activated. And it likely is not, when someone is inside, since it then triggers an alarm.
It’s not normal! Move out ASAP
