While I lean in favour of this, didn’t Micheal Martin give guarantees at the time of Lisbon that the idea of an EU military and Ireland joining an EU military was nonsense peddled by fringe political forces? Just saying.
We are a part of Europe and that means defending our shared interests. Taking part in military exercises with other member states and preparing for shit I hope never happens is part of this.
