Ciao a tutti, volevo solo chiedervi se dovrei preparare questa salsiccia in un modo particolare prima di metterla sulla griglia, ricordo che questa aveva una strana pelle spessa. Dovrei togliere la pelle prima? Grazie!

Yes.
Says in the packacing
Don’t buy that sausage because it is cheap I don’t think that sausage has any meat on it.
The skin has to go, take it off.
Make cuts and stuff the cuts with your favorite cheese. Put them in the oven. Serve with mustard-cucumber salad and raw onion cut in to small pieces and maybe smashed potatoes or fries.
Yeah, remove the skin. The best way to prepare this kind of makkara is in the oven… not in the grill. What I like to do is cut a slit in the makkara and put some cheese, mustard and onion inside. 175 degrees celsius and 20 minutes in the oven until the cheese has melted. Very retro Finnish food! If you want to grill makkara it is better to buy the smaller ones with 4 pcs in one pack. One example of these is Atria Hiillos makkara.
the skin is plastic or something like that. absolutely remove it. some other sausages has “natural” skin (animal intestine) and can be grilled as is.
I only ever make sausage soup with it. But I take a knife through the sausage end to end only the top layer of skin then peel. Then cook a little in AA sauce pan for browning and then boil
you can eat it as it is, just peel it. If you feel fancy you can heat it in microwave oven or real oven and put some mustard on it. Integral part of “makkaraperunat” or “uunimakkara”.
Yeah, it basically should say ”vegetarian ” on the sininen lenkki package nowadays. Just remove plastic and eat it raw or bake in owen.
Better in the oven than grilled, and it’s a decent saunamakkara too. Peel the skin off, though.
It is best as warmed in an owen. Second best on a sandwich but cold. I don’t eat it otherwise than these two types. If absolutely necessary I can eat it in a forest fire (nuotio) burned at the end of a long stick.
Finnish Gourmet at its finest 🤤
