Ciao Norvegia!

Troll storage. Or more likely something to do with hydroelectrics. I think a lot of the lakes are regulated and feed into the Tjodan hydroelectric powerplant.

We have one of these near my workplace in Oslo. I was told it’s a bomb shelter. Never seen anyone enter or leave. I’ve only ever seen an ambulance parked out the front so your guess is as good as mine.

Baha! People keep saying a Trolls. Yeah. Its just some ordinary human bunker.

  4. You’ve discovered one of many secret Norwegian cheese vaults. It holds the finest brunost in all the land, guarded by a council of elder trolls. Good luck getting past them, they’re very protective of their snack!

  5. Pretend you didn’t see it and everything will be ok (hopefully).

My bet is some boring utility stuff. It can also be related to wartime, so a bomb shelter. or a backup storage of usefull things. But yeah nothing sinister going on.

yes I am boring, but I just think these are neat. I know at least around cities stuff like water treatment can be hid away like that. or wastewater sorting systems.

  7. Entrance in connection with the hydro power dam you can se next to the entrance is my guess.

I’ve been to a similar facility, and guessing by the location (close to the fjord) I’d assume this is a radar facility and/or local hq of some sorts, where they recieve and convey information deep underground and safe from most attacks.

My guess is that its just a cave but its not safe according to safety standards

This is like Norways version of area 51, it looks normal, but we have trapped trolls inside, and thats the truth

The nearby lake Tjodanpollen, appears to be dammed, and there’s some concrete (?) infrastructure in the south-east corner of the lake, which is close to the door carved into the mountain. This is easy to spot on the Google Earth satellite photo which you linked to.

The concrete structure by the lake and the doorway in the mountainside most likely connects, and probably house a pump, to allow the lake to be used as a spare reservoir for a nearby hydroelectric plant, as propofjott suggested.

Party cave, only operable during major worldwide events, eg. covid lockdowns.

You don’t have the right, O you don’t have the right

  15. It’s apart of the tjodan Hydroelectric powerplant pump station maybe.
