This will show the historical continuity between two population centers and their ancient counterparts. Before the fall of Bagratid Armenia, Dvin was the capital of Central Armenia and Ani was the capital of Northern Armenia and the capital of Bagratids itself. Bagratid Armenia was centered on Shirak plain, around Gyumri, and Ancient Kingdom of Armenia was centered on Ararat valley, which is why it makes sense to use Bagratid flag for Gyumri, which became the new center of Shirak plain and the Artaxiad for Yerevan, which became the center of Ararat valley

Honestly? Why not. All municipality flags of Armenia SUCK. It’s an embarrassment

The current Artashat flag is close to the Artaxiad flag.

Replace the star in the middle with a 🚲, and Mr. Pashinian will be OK with it 🙂 as for Gyumri flag, replace the lion with same. Pashinian is with “Ô»Ö€Õ¡Õ¯Õ¡Õ¶ Õ€Õ¡ÕµÕ¡Õ½Õ¿Õ¡Õ¶” and against everything that he thinks might remind you of “ÕŠÕ¡Õ¿Õ´Õ¡Õ¯Õ¡Õ¶ aka Fake Õ€Õ¡ÕµÕ¡Õ½Õ¿Õ¡Õ¶”.
