Quanti olandesi riescono a capire l’artista preferito di mio nonno?
Jo Erens era un cantante folk del Limburgo e cantava principalmente nel dialetto del Limburgo. Sono curioso di sapere quante persone al di fuori del Limburgo possano capire il testo.
When the leaves fall, the weather is done.
When the birds twitter, to head south.
Comes the wind and rains and you take away the sun.
The cold sticks to you, summer is gone.
Summer, oh summer, please still be here for a while.
Summer, oh summer, make us so happy.
When the leaves fall, oh, it’s coming soon,
Winter for us all, with snow and with cold.
The field and field, he langt hoeed lick.
It won’t wake again, before it’s spring.
The leaves will come again, winter will go.
With flag and with drum… we’ll be waiting.
Good luck!

(Sorry! Rereading your question I notice I didn’t answer it at all! So, to answer it, I guess 135.643! ;-))

People from Limburg would understand it and maybe those from Brabant as well

Most Dutch speakers would be able to understand this, though it is sung in the Limburgs dialect.
I may be able to help you.
First I looked for the lyrics and found them [here](https://muzikum.eu/nl/jo-erens/es-de-blaedjes-valle-songtekst).
then I looked for an online dialect translator and found it [here](https://mr-dialect.com/nl/dialectvertaler/).
Then I translated the dutch text into English with [Deepl](https://www.deepl.com/nl/translator):
