Lost my packages once, one required pin and one didn’t. I wasn’t home so delivery guy called me and ask for the pin through the phone. I did a dumb move by reading it to him. Came home and didn’t see both packages, texted Amazon support. They refunded me for the non-pin package and filed an investigation for the package with pin. The next day I saw both on my front door, asked support if they want their money back (100€). They told me to keep it. If it’s your first time then they are more likely to believe you, so don’t abuse it.

Yep. In my case the previous buyer returned an old TV remote instead of the actual item and Amazon’s returns department didn’t properly check it.

    Good coffee though.

I was in same situation. Reported this to Amazon, got my money back in ~30 days

The only 2 ways i see this possible is

    1. The driver checking some packages and eventualy gets lucky ( doubt but possible)

    2. More likely why also deleyed there is a inner sceme going on that Once some one orders just Iphone or Samsung they put it a side and some one puts in order for a coffee withc is same weight probably as the phone also same size so dose not rise suspicion just here comes that they know who ordered coffee and here comes the swap. but it has to be inside job of few people not just one. ( thats if its old style non robot amazon that only checks the weight on the package)

Similar stuff happaned long time ago in another warehouse where people ordered few Shirts and it was packed by same people just along few shirts went out lot more stuff, in on it was Team leader , packers and pickers .

Not with an iPhone but I had several packages delivered opened.

Maybe it’s not that great of an idea to mindlessly hire everyone and pay them mere pennies for work they can’t realistically do in a day. This way, you ensure to get desperate workers who have zero loyality in your company and zero scuples to rip you off in turn.

I mean if the coffee has a good taste then its okay? Just take the coffee.

Yeah thats not even uncommon. Don’t buy such expensive things at Amazon, If you can afford such a Phone you can afford the slighter higher price at an offline store.

I once ordered an expensive watch and i got a water pump for fish tanks. I returned the pump, a few days later i got the watch.

  9. 2 months ago, I ordered a sound card (yes, those still exist) through Amazon Germany and received – water filters. I immediately notified them and they sent a replacement the next day. Again – water filters! 😀 😀
I didn’t order that specific card again but complained with Amazon. It took some convincing that they indeed sent water filters instead of an electronics piece but I got the full refund eventually.

People who order IPhones on Amazon generally lack the experience of having ordered iPhones at Amazon.

  11. once I ordered gaming headphones and inside the packaging there was a completely different model which were also broken. what I thought happened is someone ordered new headphones, put their broken ones inside and returned it. and since the packaging seemed sealed an amazon returns worker probably didn’t think about it twice and put it back in stock. I wrote the support and got the money back immediatelly.

Amazon Germany has a problem. I frequently receive packages that were clearly tampered with, at least a hole or some other form of barely noticeable damage that lets me know someone peaked inside. I’m no longer buying expensive stuff at Amazon.

I had an almost identical thing happen with a phone I ordered on Otto in Germany (kinda similar to Amazon but not as big). Weirdly enough it was also coffee, but individual sachets of instant coffee. They had put in just enough so the weight was correct.

The package didn’t seem to be tampered with and I never had any other problems with deliveries so I’m doubtful it was someone in the shipping service. I presume it was someone in the warehouse. They refunded me after I made some fuss but they blocked my account from making further orders. I wasn’t going to order anything from them anyway but I was pissed off that they punished me for their fuckup. The refund took a while too and I couldn’t afford a different phone until I got the refund so I had no phone for a month.

Man.. a 250g pack of coffee + the paper package is never 410g as mentioned on the packaging!

The weight of an iPhone 15 with packaging is a bit less then 400g – Amazon is tracking the weight of every package.

The shipping label is added after closing the package, so is there would be a mistake by the employer the weight would have a difference to the calculated weight and the package would be stopped to check.

If you want to scam them – good luck!

With the upcoming import registration changed for coffee, you might even have gotten a gem that appreciates in value until the end of this year when there will be a coffee shortage 😉

Call Amazon ASAP! This is a big problem in Germany. My brother in law had to deal with the same thing!
