Without meaning to be too harsh… but it’s not particularly great art is it? It’s predominant feature is that it’s explicit. If the figure was fully clothed it wouldn’t get anywhere near a gallery… and I’m not certain that being explicit for explicities’ sake is enough justification to hang it in the window.

Can’t they all lose? People fearful or ashamed of nudity, and second-rate artists being knowingly edgy and setting out to provoke. It almost makes you feel sorry for the police trying to find a compromise by suggesting it remains on display but not in the window.

I know a lot of art is not about the technical excellence, but what it conveys to the viewer. In this case, to me anyway, it conveys a waste of materials.
