This is a message from a foreign military volunteer who we have matched with sponsors. He is originally South African and is a trained sniper. He is matched with another sniper! His donor has been amazing and has supported the volunteer in getting equipment he needed for his role. They also have had a great time bonding together and discussing their experiences in the military.

*One thing the volunteer wanted me to clarify here is that when he says they are having a great time here, he didn’t mean to say war is fun. He is just a person who handles combat zones very well and that is where he feels he is meant to be. He thought that might not come across the way he intended it. He also was having fun that day because he was teaching me to shoot and that was apparently a very good time for all involved because getting me to shoot a gun has taken a very long time. He also doesn’t have a shirt because it was really, really hot that day.

Some are trainers, some are fighting, some are in medical roles. They’re from Europe, North America, South America, Australia/NZ and then we have a few from Africa or Asia. You can match up if you can offer $25 or more per month or $100 one time. We can pair you with a group of donors so don’t feel like what you can offer is not enough. Donors often have a great time getting to know each other as well.
