No offense but for me this is just too much. Salmon is a delicately flavoured fish and all these various flavours would just swamp it for me. And ham with salmon? Sacrilege!

I’m going to have nightmares about those ham rolls.

Citrus pairs really well with salmon, but I’d stick to lemon or lime. But that already takes you far away from traditional Norwegian cuisine.

A rather delicious combo for salmon in my opinion is having soy sauce, ginger, ground coriander/cilantro seeds and ground cumin on the salmon as you bake it, if you want it to be a bit sweet mix in honey.

For accessories make an avocado and mango salad and squeeze half a lime over it and mix it in with freshly chopped cilantro.

Then chop up some unsalted cashews.

Put the baked salmon on the plate, have some sweet chili sauce on top of it and put some of your chopped cashews on top. Put some cilantro leaves on the fish as well. Serve with rice and the avocado/mango salad.

    For a more traditional serving:
Bake it with salt and pepper. Boil some potatoes with plenty of salt. Lightly boil some broccoli. Eat it with a cucumber salad. If you want to be fancy squeeze some lemon juice over the fish.

I just want to know if you actually ate all of it?

IMO, salmon has always been best with a cucumbersalad (thinly sliced cucumber, salt, water vinegar, and sugar), peeled potatoes, sourcream, and a dash of lemon juice sprinkled on top.
