It sounds legit. Finland’s forestry is somewhat regulated though to prevent unsustainable forest cutting or harvesting. Perhaps one of the most regulated in the world. What I would like to see is also such organizations which are educating people to not just plant monoculture forest with spruce or pine, but focus on cultivating mixed forest, which has a superb immune system, as compared to just one type of wood for the whole forest. As climate change worsens, Finnish forests, especially spruce (kuusi in Finnish) may suffer, as they are not quickly evolving to withstand hot climates. Then also there are bugs (kirjanpainaja) which thrive in hotter and drier climate and damage the spruce. Mixed forests are excellent and unfortunately you don’t see them very often in Finland, unless it’s an untouched forest in its natural state.

Anyway, what I’m trying to say is this organization seems good, better than nothing. But a bit more is needed perhaps.

    It’s a legit organisation.

I’m often using this charity as a gift. Take my god-daughter who has everything she needs, why buy useless junk when I can donete forest in her name.
You can check the foundation from any registry, it’s ok and a very recommendable charity.
