Mmm that would be an equivalent of the FAT MAN bomb dropped on Nagasaki….

Not great, not terrible. Let’s hope there are no dirty elements onboard this boat, like chemical or nuclear

    >Of further concern is the ship’s current proximity to the World War II wreck of the SS Richard Montgomery, which contains approximately 1,400 tonnes of unexploded ordnance.

A case of two birds, one stone, perhaps.

Its a fertiliser that can be explosive not actual explosives. The ship is damaged so no one wants to allow it into port. It should be safe-ish as long as there is no initiating explosion. Ships like this travel all round the world all the time, its a common cargo. Very unlikely this is the first time something like this has happened other than the damage.

Its not 20kt of Russian explosives but, well fertiliser.

    “Spotted floating”
by which they mean sailing, under power. it isn’t adrift or anything.

Worth mentioning though the beirut explosion which annihilated that section of dockland was only 2750 tonnes…
20k tonnes would make a rather large bang.

It’s Russian and was seen acting erratically up near the oil rigs in the North Sea before heading down to the English Channel. If I were a betting man, I would put money on any UK Storm Shadow missiles landing on Russian soil from Ukraine leading to an “accidental” explosion aboard this ship

These tactics won’t stop our support and if it does have an accident. Then, more than storm shadow will hit orcland

Russia, 20000 tons of potential explosive off the UK coast. ! No one gonna say it ?

They need to tow it outside the environment before the front falls off.

When we said stop the boats, we didn’t mean blow up the entire English Channel

Needs to be mixed with some fuel oil for full [ANFO](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ANFO) effect (e.g. diesel). Though wouldn’t be hard. I’m sure Royal Navy is ready if action is needed. Wouldn’t be hard to open sea cocks and scuttle if necessary.

I knew a nurse in Kent and she was on a list of people who had to go and help casualties if the Richard Montgomery with 1,500 tonnes of explosives blew up, although that is actual military explosives

The poor crew! Oh my days would not wanna be in that ship! Might become another enviro disaster indeed!

The title makes you think someone is ready for war and is aiming at us off the Kentish Coast! 😶‍🌫️ 🤣The verb spotted also makes you believe it was moving secretly too! 😱 🤣
