Starmers had another £16,000 worth of clothes, this time for ‘a private office’.

    Total @ £32,000

Proper speed running the zero seats

  2. About time, we had a party funded by the donations of the public rather than the super rich. They might start acting in our interest then

Another right wing media smear piece from the… Guardian.

Err, that doesn’t fit the narrative?

The nasty party are truly back in business – we tried to warn you that voting the Tories back into power would usher in more sleaze and corruption but no, the voters didn’t list….. Oh hang on what

The attempts to make us care about this after living under 14 years of inherited wealth sleazebags is hilarious. The previous prime minister was a richer/wealthier than the queen and yet we’re supposed to be outraged by Keith getting donations

One day in the near future, I hope he receives donations from a businessman who owns a lot of costume shops and attends Prime Minsters questions dressed as Princess Jasmine from Disney’s Aladin.

    > In July and August alone, the four candidates to become the next Conservative leader – Kemi Badenoch, Robert Jenrick, James Cleverly and Tom Tugendhat – received between £70,000 and £160,000 in donations each, although much of that is needed for campaigning efforts such as staff and venues.

…and in the interest of fairness, we’re just going to take them at their word and not bring it up again.

My new goal is to be ready to leave the country by 2029. I encourage a lot of you to do the same.

What I don’t understand is kier starmer could wear a Marks and Sparks suite, I don’t think it woul d be a noticeable difference.

When this first came out we had labout shills saying that £16,000 for clothes wasn’t very much considering how much clothes cost … *much to my surprise turns out they were right!*

**FREE GEAR KEIR** took £40,000 of free clothes including £2,500 of luxury eyewear and £5,000 of free clothes for the missus …

All the while on an household income of £200k a year …

… but you know it’s the disabled ppl living off benefits and the pensioners making over £13,000 a year who have to make sacrifices for the good of the country.

    Jesus wept.

  11. Never mind the giving of clothes , what about somebody taking his clothes off? Shhh there is an embargo. Free the sausages ! Wonder if somebody knows his secret and changed the teleprompter to say sausages as a euphemism?

Forget which particular politician is on the take, its just plain wrong that the public get hammered by HMRC for every incidental benefit of working, civil servants adhere to strict ethics and corruption rules while politicians of all colours take the piss. They are laughing at us, all of them.

Its high time the corrupt gifts and expenses rules for politicians and other government servants is harmonised.

How the fuck do you even wear that many clothes. Beyonce style maybe, different costume per meeting. Full wardrobe team. Gok wan in the corner

Well, you can’t expect him to be naked when he’s in the office, can you ? So he had no choice but to take the clothes.

Peers are supposed to be the most honourable of us, given a high position for life in recognition of their characters. But they are the opposite, the worst of us, time for fundamental, democratic reform. No more honours, no more life peers, elected upper house with term limits.

Dear Guardian: please follow the COVID money instead.. no one cares about the clothes.

Boris bagged a couple million on top of his salary. Glad to see it was also in the headlines at the time and not just the private eye.
