Serie investigativa “Grande Ungheria”: Quasi nessun bambino negli asili nido costruiti in Croazia con i soldi dei contribuenti ungheresi per un costo di 1,3 miliardi di fiorini
To be fair, minorities in Croatia (at least the traditional ones) are all going the way of the dodo through assimilation, but nonetheless huge sums are invested to maintain some sort of representation for them. Look at our third-largest city, Rijeka, which maintains bilingual road signs, an Italian radio, an Italian secondary school and numerous other provisions for cca. 1% of Italians in the city.
Compared to that, the Hungarians in Croatian Baranja are fairly numerous; hearing Hungarian spoken there is still a standard occurence. But I believe a lot of them are quite anti-Orban, or don’t want to segregate their kids from the rest of their peers for other obvious reasons.
