Reasonable chance for people to see this as it will be dark early enough if they happen and if you get a clear enough night.

Doubt we’ll see much in London. I was stupid enough last time to go to sleep and completely miss it. Thankfully I saw it flying back from Japan in February.
But definitly set the alert threshold to amber (it defaults to yellow which is “may be visible by eye in Scotland), and disable daytime alerts.

Never really understood the fascination with the Northern Lights, but my work colleagues love them and it’s nice to see them get so excited.

I actually caught these the first time this recently happened and I’m glad I did, very cool experience to see something like that from somewhere I could see my home.

Why can’t they just say it will be overcast like normal people?
Stop teasing me with this I am going to be asleep again probably.
Sunset is around 18:30 and twilight is over enough to see these by 19:10 (SE England)

You can get an app called [“Aurora Watch UK”](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smallbouldering.aurorawatchuk&hl=en_GB) which will alert you if there is a likelyhood of the Auroa being visible where you are.
