I think we should find out which grifters got paid to do this and what connections they have to the council, and then make a massive example out of the lot of them, regardless of whether or not they acted legally.

Fuck it, money well spent. Potholes will be back next year but statues last forever.

Gotta be honest here, if our entire budget is commited to fitting potholes, then we have to recognise we have a few issues to address like excessive car use, poor pothole fixing, dodgy contracts, among other things

Thinking it will bring visitors into walsall arboretum… ermmm, I don’t think so 35 grand would of been spent better on so many things in that shit hole

Eh, you need both bread and roses. £35k is one median earner’s worth of money, it’s fuck-all even at a local council level.

  6. The best way to spend £35k in Walsall would be on explosives and a bulldozer.

This money didn’t come out of the roads budget.

£35,000 is a relatively small chunk of the council’s budget and a few people might enjoy a statue commemorating the Queen.

People are talking as though fixing potholes is the only thing that the council should be doing. I’m sure the council are spending a hell of a lot more than £35,000 on road maintainance!
