Seen some of the videos from inside it and it looks fairly spectacular. just want it done and dusted at this stage. I suspect far too many of the news stories are about regular contractual disputes that always happen in construction.

Fantastic. Is it €500k they’ll pay for every day over?

How much extra and they going to charge for th extra headcount ?
Proof_Importance_205 on
Off course the media frenzy will be long gone when the final account gets closed for way less extra than the extra BAM had valued them at.

The best thing about deadlines is the whoosh they make as they fly by.

It is interesting that commissioning will start before the hospital is officially handed over. If I remember correctly they had estimated it would take six months, if it starts early, there is a possibility we will have it open in the final months of 2025….

North Quays in Waterford, one of the biggest infrastructure projects currently in progress in the country. Tenders occurred after the fiasco with the childrens hospital. Guess who the main contractor is: BAM yet again.
This is just shadow boxing. These lads are getting billions of taxpayer funds because FG want them too, despite all their fake protestation.

I hate to by cynical about it but it’s hard to be anything but around this project at by now. So I’d love to know was there any extra money required to induce BAM to commit to the June deadline or even an agreement to drop some of the court disputes?
