Countdown to Tata controversy begins.
This needs to be investigated immediately.
Screams of dodgy contracts for the boys.
We couldn’t have just kept the money in the EU even? We had to get into bed with an Indian company?
This isn’t in anyway cool
[removed]
What other major government contract is being sent to India when the country has loads of perfectly credible irish companies that can do it, like deloitte for example , Huge irish company that deals with this sort of work all the time.
They may be British but they’re main branches are based in Dublin Galway and cork an awful lot closer than Mumbai and a he’ll of a lot easier to audit .
So when do we get Tata motors here?
I mean I know we get Jaguar and Land Rover which they own.
But I’d like to get my hands on something cheap, light, and absolutely crap. Like the Tata Indica.
People will really complain about anything, especially when they don’t know what they’re talking about. Tata have done a good job administering the equivalent UK scheme for years. They’re a perfectly reasonable choice.
€150m for 10 years, or €15m per year.
To enroll and manage an additional 800,000 people into pensions.
Or approximately €18.75 per person per year to administer everything.
This is great news for the North West.
They employ 1,400 in Letterkenny (main commerce town of Donegal, main hospital, LYIT now ATU campus) alone and are expanding. That’s in a town with a population of under 20,000! This will only strengthen the towns economy and future.
Expect most of this will be done out of Ireland.
As soon as gov / dept get into the project, spec changes will come up and costs will balloon.
Final cost be 100M+ on top of that …
I thought it was Tate My future fund. Was thinking why was Andrew Tate involved with the Irish government – the worst part was that I wasn’t even that surprised.
Tata have done a great job with Nest(UK auto enrolment) in the UK and their numbers are much bigger than ours with around 10 million members and 900,000 employers.
Thankfully they went with a crowd in the know and at a very reasonable cost
By default Tata’s management of Nest funds in the UK makes you invest partly in the housing crisis (property/REIT’s).
As I said in another thread:
Your pension fund is helping you fund your retirement by ensuring you can’t afford a home.
