    >The campaign launched on September 26th – the day most babies are born in the UK.

So based on this it’s ok to have sexy time on September 27th. As it’s unlikely to have a baby afterwards.

Or maybe they should be explaining this better.

I’ve never had a baby, but I saw one born. My sister wanted me in the room, which was the worst/best/worst/best/beautiful thing ever.

If she had the energy, she should have eaten a burger after that kid cut my sister in half. My take.

Ironically the people getting upset will be a bit of a whopper themselves.

I remember vividly immediately after giving birth to my daughter that I was STARVING. Then the nurse came up to me and said “you know when you’re really hungry and there is a big hamburger right in front of you so you open your mouth wide and take a big bite? That’s what baby is going to do to your breast.” I. Was. Devastated. But they did offer me a dry muffin a while later.

  6. If there’s a time a calorie-bomb is justified, it surely is after pushing a smal human out of your own body (likely for hours).

All I’ve seen is positive feedback from relatively new mothers saying they’d kill for a decent meal after giving birth. NHS slop wasn’t the one at the time!

My wife gave birth last weekend and soon after she ate a bunch of cookies. Absolutely deserved and necessary to get your energy back for the overnight ward stay.

Some women develop gestational diabetes during pregnancy and can’t tolerate eating burgers without their blood sugars going crazy.

If they want a Burger King after birth, let them eat it!

Also, some women labour for days! Imagine going 30 hours without food and essentially running a marathon. You are hungry after birth.

I’m due around Christmas time and have gestational diabetes and I have asked my husband to make sure I get a pizza delivered post birth!

How to do a really bad job of not even pretending you’re regurgitating a press release.

I bet the men complaining were silent when the woman’s husband ate all her post-op meals.

in the picture of me as a newborn with my older sister holding me, there’s literally a burger king cup and wrapper on the table in the background.

my mum absolutely ravaged her burger king meal after birth. it’s real hungry work.

If someone had brought me a Burger King spicy beanburger after any of the times I gave birth I would have recommended them for an OBE

The “debate online” is from LinkedIn! Which is always full of shit

I did think why have BK made the burgers look quite unappealing but then I saw they’re real women eating real burgers after a real birth

Let them eat what they want, they deserve it!

Immediately after my wife gave birth to our firstborn, I went to Chick-fil-a and got her a party platter of chicken nuggets. She DEMOLISHED that thing in half an hour, so I’m all for giving the ladies whatever the hell they want, especially after seeing how much of an ordeal birth was.

As a funny aside, our kid’s diapers smelled of chicken nuggets for two days after this 😁

Wow I wonder if sometimes companies make deliberately controversial ads in order to generate social media engagement and “outrage”, leading to more publicity for their product than they would by just innocuously advertising the same thing

If you’re offended by this – give birth. Or alternatively just go outside and get some fresh air

After giving birth at home, my wife and I ordered pizza for us and the midwives.

  19. > The famous fast-food joint shared the new ‘Bundles of Joy’ campaign last week, featuring real images and recordings of mothers enjoying a Whopper post-birth. The images also included the time of arrival.

What’s wrong with the advert? After delivery, one is worn out, happy, tired and need that calorie. The advert delivers…?
