    This is appalling. The brewery had it’s own spring contributing to it;s taste. It will not be Bank’s beer after this.

    The town has lost so much it is part of it’s heritage.

    Bloody hell. Might as well throw in the towel and just drink fucking Tiger beer at this rate.

    This kind of real ale is really dropping in interest these days. People want craft, and this kind of big brewery doesn’t seem to have moved with the times. It isn’t even like the 70s where people were dropping “proper beer” for cheap lager. They are dropping proper beer for more proper beer, so hard to win people back.

    We lost our local brewery last year, too. Marstons bought it, shuttered it and moved production up to Burton. It really was a shame, they were great in the community. They would send a beer tent to every local event.

    Now its just a generic brand in a sea of other generic brands.
