Erra sure listen
Even if their own lives are so worthless that they’d risk them like this, they also endanger the lives of rescue crews sent to recover their remains.
Is this your first time there? There’s normally as many on that side as the other
I mean they can do what they want. That’s the reason fences haven’t been put up yet to save the lives of idiots while ruining it for everyone else
I like the stone you stand out over the water a little ways down
ah sure here in Ireland borders aren’t enforced, come in and do what ye like folks
Tik tok twats
We head west when lockdown ended. There was fierce wind blowing, plenty of people jumped the wall. I know the wind was blowing inland, but it was still crazy.
I was sat on that ledge when I visited in the early 90s. Took some analogue pictures.
Back in the day we used to sit on that ledge with a picnic.
Often sat on the top of a scaffold lunch on a building site too.
A fall from either height would kill you.
Nobody ever fell though.
When you get those news reports of people dying in these areas keep in mind of this scenario. People are stupid and Charles Darwin’s theory is real.
Dry shite
I was there during summer and people were doing some really dumb shit
Not as a proud Clareman that is what your supposed to do on a cliff.
One of my best memories in life is to be at the base of the cliffs at low tide and see the random rockfall explosions
But the gram
Scary
My partner and I did the same. Mindlessly. In the heat of the moment. And I’ve been having the occasional nightmares ever since. The “what if” type of angsty dreams.
I would never do it. The wind can become very strong up there in seconds and a single wrong step is enough.
Reddit Ireland turned into the Journal comments section so slowly I barely noticed. Live a bit for God’s sake
That wall isn’t that old. Back in the 90s there was no cliff side restrictions. Other than a few warning signs, it was just assumed humans would use their brains.
Was in Portugal recently and was completely shook by the people taking photos on the ledges at Ponte de Piadade but doing this at a site where it is actually restricted is just irresponsible and unfair. I just want to say to tourists who do this to leave us all alone. We’ll have all our spots fenced off eventually if people don’t snap out of it.

Natural selection. Just let it happen.
Darwin
I’ve been there plenty of times and there’s no real advantage going so close to the edge. Unnecessary risk.
I mean it’s personal reponsibility, they’re only endangering themselves. People base jump, free solo climb etc… I wouldn’t, but people should be able to take risks with their own lives.
Chinese are the worst tourists. Change my mind.
Relax would u. They just taking a pic.
They are looking for fr jacks drink stash
If theres not gale force wind and they aren’t blind who gives a fuck
