    >The changes will see 872 fewer bus journeys each week across the 202, 202a, 205, 208 and 220 as service frequency drops in measures the company say will “improve reliability and punctuality”.

It is already tendered and privatised is it not? Bus Eireann are operating under contract from the NTA to provide city services in Cork. Same as they are in Limerick & Galway and the same as Dublin Bus & Go Ahead in Dublin.

BE don’t seem to be able to stick to the terms of that contract because of inability to recruit drivers in sufficient numbers. I’d imagine the next time the contract is tendered that Go Ahead might bid for it. Sounds like they can’t do any worse than BE are currently doing anyway.

How many headlines need “…according to a campaign statement from a Sinn Fein TD that were publishing verbatim and calling ‘journalism’” at the end?

Of course they can’t give a definitive timeline for when they’ll have enough drivers hired, the thing is the drivers get a say in that!
