    > A prisoner told inspectors that the prison was “letting society down” by “not getting anyone to address the reasons” men are detained there.

The country lets society down by letting rapists out of prison.

On a side note, the prison looks like it wants to be converted into boutique stores and coffee shops.

It’s a desire but also a need, like a sexuality. The need will never go away. Death penalty for serial sexual offenders and serial killers, nothing else will work.

Only people with life sentences seem to really get challenged since their release is dependent on it while people with normal sentences often just coast through since they will get released regardless.

  5. If they served their sentence they absolutely need to be released. Most of these offenders know that they committing crimes so therapy will only have a limited effect, but if it’s never offered the state should also be held partially accountable for not having tried rehabilitating measures.

Wake up, get out of bed, drag a comb across my head. Oh look there’s a uk thread about sexual crimes. It’s the morning routine like a nice cup of tea to cheer you up.

The prison service is not really in a position to do much of use with its inmates because it is so vastly overstretched.

Prison is not there to rehabilitate. It’s there to placate the feral masses who according to this sub would love to bring back capital punishment.
