I’m starting to think if you get employed at a place with 5+ people you should be given a whistle when your hired.
It doesn’t mention the obvious need to double or triple the HR staff across the NHS
They should have a whistle blowing site for reporting negligence.
I went to the doctor for respiratory problems (diagnosed with a chest infection) and he lifted my waistband halfway through the appointment and looked at my genitals. Why? My mum was in the room as well.
Years and years later, I damaged my knee in a fairground ride accident and could barely walk for months afterwards without it randomly locking up or feeling like it was about to dislocate. It started to affect my ability to go anywhere (including college, most importantly), so I asked my GP over the phone for an appointment and he gave me one the next week.
A couple of months later, I asked my GP over the phone to check out my testicles as they had been aching for weeks to the extent of making me feel nauseous constantly and preventing me from walking around. I stressed to him that it couldn’t be testicular torsion (which is an emergency) because I had been experiencing it for weeks at the same severity. He gave me an appointment for… 45 minutes later…
Both situations were largely the same, albeit being my genitals rather than my knee. Why did my testicles warrant such an immediate appointment? Idk.
It turned out that I was incredibly stressed and all of the veins in my abdomen and upper legs had inflamed.
They need a whistleblowing site for when you’ve misleading been told you’ve seen a doctor but it was a PA
