    This meeting hasn’t happened yet.

Who is allegedly involved? Here’s the answer from the article:

    > On the agenda, which the ZEIT and the ARD political magazine Kontraste were able to see, the organizers list names known as participants from Germany: the former Prime Minister of Brandenburg Matthias Platzeck (SPD), the former head of the Federal Chancellery Ronald Pofalla (CDU) and the Russia lobbyist Martin Hoffmann. The former CDU Chancellor candidate Armin Laschet is also mentioned, who, however, denies participation.

Deplorable, if true. And maybe (hopefully) it won’t happen now that the cover is blown.

  2. “High rank officials”? Named are two ex-politicians who left the scene years ago and a lobbyist. So where are these “high ranking officials” on the german side here?

Pretty much the Kremlin is trying to find supporters in Germany but has to make use of has-beens who are out of the game. As we say in Germany “Tolle Wurst!”

German “**high ranking**” officials? Matthias Platzeck who was Minister-president of Brandenburg ten years ago, Ronald Pofalla, who isn’t even a politician anymore, and some random lobbyist.

    Fuck germany.

It’s about time we let the polish bloc take the lead in EU matters. Germany can suck dick in the background and whine about high electricity and gas costs and try to digitalize their stupid ass country. We’ll build our own union but with weapons and hookers!

Sanctions against those individuals and or Germany as well. Germany would really be stupid and irresponsible to do any of this – the history in this region of Germans and Russians cooperating during war is overwhelming and everlasting

I hope Poland and all region’s countries reprimand Germany and or the individuals

Absolutely no need to cozy up (again) to a terrorist country. Sit the fuck down, whoever is thinking, planning and participating in this.

What a stupid headline. I guess “Compromised or stupid lowlifes without any power planning prostration in Baku” would have brought less clicks.

  8. As a german the only “warming up of relationship” with russia i want to see is more russian ammo depots on fire.
