Looking forward to Taoiseach Micheál Martin appointing John McGahon Minister of State for Law Reform in the next FFG coalition.

I hate FG as much as the next guy, but Jesus that’s a pathetic level of barrel scraping.

Why would he. The media and FG always maintained it was ‘handbag stuff’.

Probably on lower scale alright….the twix incident was certainly worse……but you’d have to question what’s wrong with Irish judges that he got off with assault and video evidence of him doing it

> It’s interesting, these facts have been known for a very long period of time. And obviously, now that there’s an election, there’s a focus in relation to this.
Obviously the footage adds another dimension to this. It was easy to believe it was just a drunken scuffle prior to that, but the footage shows how savage an attack it was.
> Harris said he had “seen the video footage on the internet”, referring to footage that is circulating online, purporting to show part of the altercation.
> “I don’t believe that is all of the footage, but what I do know is a jury saw all of the footage. And a jury not me, because I’m not a jury. I’m not a judge. A jury looked at all of the footage. A jury acquitted John McGahon,” he said.
What else is there to see. According to testimony by McGahon the victim threw a punch, missed and fell to the ground. The footage comes in immediately after that showing him pounce upon the fallen victim throwing savage punches to the mans head.

Imagine being such a scumbag that even FF are concerned that you’re a candidate.
