    >Badenoch’s net approvals show that she has divided voters, with 20% approving of her and 25% disapproving.

She has a real problem that the average voter is going to have no real idea who she is, 55% of people didn’t given an opinion on her. She is really going to struggle with this because Farage is going to take so much of the opposition spotlight.

She literally hasn’t had a chance to do anything yet. What are people expecting?

    > Kemi Badenoch’s personal approval ratings at the start of her Tory leadership are worse than those recorded by Rishi Sunak and Boris Johnson at the start of their reigns, according to the latest Opinium poll for the Observer.

Remember when news was interesting? Who cares about opinion polls. The most over reported shite at the moment.

the uncomfortable truth is that politicians of all stripes are crashingly unpopular right now. nobody seems to have a unifying vision or sound plan to deal with the many many issues and problems we face

    Today Johnson, tomorrow Truss…

    Next month… the devil!

Cleverly may have inadvertently boosted his chances of becoming Tory leader by being beaten by Jennrick and Badenoch. Baddenoch will be voted out by her MPs within three years. Cleverly, having refused to join the Shadow Cabinet, will be in a good position for the next leadership election.

When her entire brand is built off of some edgy comments, it’s no surprise when her official policy is just reactionist drivel to whatever plans Starmer has.

Her first PMQs was a vile attempt at creating a rift with the incoming US government, *just* when our country doesn’t need it. Even Farage has offered to help with buttering up the new incumbents. Kemi just wants to shit on it all and hope they make Starmer’s life a misery so that she can point this out and make gains with the facile UK electorate.

  8. Erm, how do I say this, there’s a subset of Tory and Reform voters/supporters who won’t like her because of her ethnicity.

Tbh I’m getting sick of these what feels like daily popularity articles

Its almost like they devalue themselves being released so often, and for what ultimate purposes?

    Less is more folks folks

I’m still full to the brim of Tory bullshit from the last decade. Four or five years of them shutting up will be grand, thanks.

Of course they are. Her starting point was getting massacred in an election. She only won the leadership contest because Tom Cleverley somehow managed to take a steaming dump into his own mouth. Then, instead of honest self-reflection, she’s leaned into what got them massacred at the election in the first place, despite everyone who wanted that having jumped ship to reform already. Then she formed her shadow cabinet from the dregs of the dregs of the dregs.

What has she done that would possibly make rating go up?

  12. Misleading headline, as it’s at the start of their reigns not compared to their last approval ratings which would be the natural assumption

Why would the tories vote in a black person, they don’t like black people

I have never seen an interview where she doesn’t come across as angry and condescending.

Absolutely awful pick for leader – what were they thinking?

Meet the new boss….same as the old boss.

I can see Reform making serious inroads into both disenfranchised Labour and Tory voters.
