      If a Russian vessel is detected operating near these cables, it is warned, and if warnings are ignored, it is sunk.

      If it is a submarine, it is sunk.

      Can we just forbid Chinese ships in the Baltic Sea Basin? They destroy our cables and politicians are like “I am shocked, disgusted, concerned”. Like bruh, this is not a reality show.

      Say it loud: “You destroyed our cables – Here’s the proof. Here’s your “fuck off from our sea” ticket – And if we ever catch one of yours in here again – You guys go with boom”. Action-Reaction.

      Yeah well after the amazingly strong response to nordstream being blown up I’m sure the German govt are well positioned to deter and prosecute sabotage

      At this point, maybe they need to lay mines along the cables. Would make for an interesting revel if one was hit.
