I know it’s just one of many but jaysus why do people claim things that are so easily disproven? Would it not hurt your business to be seen as this kind of person, all for a few grand?

There’s an epidemic of cunts in this country.

We’re awash with hungry cunts like this. The slightest inconvenience and their first thought is; *”Claim?”*

From reading these articles about the out of hand claim culture I realise I could have been a millionaire with the things I could have “claimed” off over the years.

I was always told it’s the unluckiest money you will ever have ! (Unless rightfully deserved ofc)

Scarlet for each and every one of them

He was found to be lying about the severity of his mental distress…. and still got a payout? How does that make sense?

That’s one of the most tortured headlines I’ve ever seen

I’d rather not have 10k than be this cunt. He deserves compensation for having to deal with being himself.

It’s mentioned at the end of the article but I think the way it sometimes goes is this: if you are offered a sum to settle, don’t take that and proceed with the case and end up getting that amount or lower then you are on the hook for the costs of both sides from the point of the offer.

He ended up getting damages of €8,250 + legal costs of €2,394.

    >Judge Shannon said the defendant had conceded that Mr Smith had been trapped in a lift at his apartment block residence until a neighbour had heard his cries for help and had called the emergency services.

The lift company is presumably charging the apartment good money to maintain those lifts.

I don’t have an issue with the 10k award if he had actual damages, I don’t want to get stuck in a lift either.

However, shouldn’t he also get in trouble for lying to the court?

Nah this is the fish counter mate…… he’s proper stuck in a lift

In fairness that sauna doesn’t look like a space that would trigger claustrophobia.

Well lit inside and out with a flimsy plastic opening that could probably be opened by breathing on it

    > had made muscular poses in a single-person sauna

The man looks like a badly stuffed sausage.
