Yup, putin is scared shitless of an actual response from US/NATO

Glad to see the US saying thanks for letting us know sure go ahead. What a joke this administration is.

The US should have said we will be sending a Tomahawk 5 minutes after.

This fact perfectly captures the gap between the “I’m a rabid dog, watch out!” fearmongering Putin is projecting, vs. the “please for the love of god, don’t mistake my intentions” reality that he’s forced to play by.

If they didn’t announce it to the US, The Americans would assume nuclear weapons had been set off, and set off their own.

This is pretty normal when testing any missile system for the reasons you would think but it is a little cock shy in a war…putin is a little bitch.

But how can we know he’s not bluffing and saying it’s not a nuke when it actually is? Probably best to reduce the kremlin to ashes just in case.

The fact they did communicate is good, reasonable and doesn’t tell us anything about their intentions. There’s no point dwelling on this like some do here. There would be literally no benefit and just a massive risk for Russia not to tell US and EU it’s launching an ICBM. Nothing around the destination was shooting it down anyways, so no risk on that front also.

I wonder how many confirmations they requested from the US before launching?

Even with the notification it is an unacceptable escalation. It wouldn’t be the first time that kind of warning notification doesn’t reach the right people. Every action like this is a risk of full scale destruction. Quite the gamble to appease the greed of 1 man.
