I bought one pack a few times ago. Also disappointed by the packaging, but also by the taste.
It’s been a long time since I had eaten one, but I could definitely tell they changed their receipt at some point.
„Fewer calories“
„Better for environment“
„Optimized packaging“
They don’t even realise how badly it will affect the sales due to people’s OCDs. I would prefer a price adjustment rather than such drastic shrinkflation. Probably remodelling entire process and packages devoured the savings, but yeah, some manager can write they saved loads. (I know that long term it may lead to some savings, but it affects the trust to the brand).
naughty naughty kägi.
This is wrong at so many levels!
As someone who usually don‘t look at the price when buying food:
I would absolutely not realize if you increase the price. But I do realize when the content shrinks and that makes me angry.
The funny thing here is that kägi already reduced the content not long ago. In the past they did not habe these spacers inbetween.
Edit: typo
how many goddamn times did they shrink their packages and reduced the content in the past few years?
damn, they shot the cow
but hey, they slapped a nice second swiss flag on it!
Yep, I am old enough to remember the old packaging which was essentially a block of kägi fret wrapped and done. Then they decided to go for the fancy looks (minus the fancy taste). Now they continue the trajectory of providing less food and more packaging waste at the same price. I wonder what their long term vision is? Selling them one by one?
Thats peak shrinkflation
too bad. the ratio product/waste drops….. buh…
Please, make Switzerland a favor, Avoid this brand
Please guys, don’t let this happen. STOP buying things that do this.
I come from a high inflationary country and this happened almost every month. Then other brands will copy if they get away with it, and everyone loses, as after reducing the quantity they will reduce de quality, and then repeat in a forever loop.
All the consumers lose on this schema.
