That’s twice now that they have refused to vacate the property on an agreed date.

It’s clear they are not dealing in good faith.

Why should they be give anymore time in the house?

There’s some cunts in this country

    I blame McGregor

Anyone with an ounce of common sense is going to get planning permission. This pair were thinking that they were above the laws of this Island. I wouldn’t build a shed without looking into planning.

Not that it matters but that’s one ugly house.

If you have that kind of money why not employ an architect?

How did Meath county council find out about it?

Do they go looking for properties built without planning permission or did someone report it?

    Asking for a friend…….

The house was built 18 years ago, they should just let it go..

Honestly, it’s there now. Just leave it and fine them.

Of all the houses that were built and are now falling down because the blocks had pyrite in them, why couldn’t this be one of them!

This is the courts being vindictive. The house is fine, don’t knock down a perfectly good house during a housing crisis for semantics. Give them retention, fine them if you must.

  10. Unless there’s something wrong with the building as a result of not going through planning (connection to grid, services, structure etc.) Demolishing doesn’t seem like the right solution.
Repurpose it or something if it’s in good condition. Demolishing seems like everybody loses

I’m almost sure this guy owes like 20k in unpaid electricity bills too. Seems to just be a cowboy who thinks he’s above normal rules and processes. I hope they knock it down in front of the fool

Bizarro attitudes here. These people openly flouted planning laws. Fuck them and their stupid house.

I wonder how they afford to build this pay electric legal fees and a mortgage. Is the money in plumbing that good? I might have to switch jobs. I wonder did they have an enemy in the council when they initially went for planning becuase there are uglier monster houses around the place. Most counties are a mess now with these giant 5/6 bed ugly houses. . It’s madness. There gonna be lonely places when the kids move out.

I can’t believe this is still dragging on.

No sympathy for the couple, this is completely an issue of their own making and the breach is such that the council have to knock the house or it shows that rules are pointless.

What is actually wrong with the house, looks fairly standard?

Sort of interested as to why this house (ugly as it is) was denied planning permission initially? Doesn’t anyone know?
