Arresti qualcuno a causa di crimini di guerra solo se non ti piace. L’Europa sta rendendo l’ICC uno scherzo.

  1. Putin Invaded Ukraine.

Netanyahu didn’t invade anyone, his country was invaded.

To be honest I believe there is a case for war crimes against Netanyahu, but Israel is a democracy with an independent court system that is capable of investing him, the icc dont have authority there

I saw an article by the Atlantic that described it pretty well. For the first time in history, the ICC applied jurisdiction over a not recognized state, allowed by the government of said “state” who hasn’t controlled the Gaza Strip for almost 20 years, for the first time ever applied warrants against a liberal democracy (add a strong judiciary that is currently prosecuting the PM), and for the first time ever applied warrants against a country who was attacked first. First time in history for famine as well, which didn’t even occur by the Famine review’s and Hamas’s own admissions.

    Edit: grammar

Edit 2: what gave Fatah greater jurisdiction than Hamas? Seriously? Hamas had a much greater autonomy and rejected Fatah as a ruling authority. Why did the ICC decide it was Fatah who had say?

So, you are proud to show how little you know about international affairs and agreements, but we should pass a judgement based on your feelings?

    Get a grip.

  5. It seems that it was done as a precondition for brokering a peace deal between Israel and Lebanon. So i would say it was worth it

it was always a joke. how can you make orders if you don’t have enforcement mechanism?

If I was a EU head of state, I would also say that should Netanyahu visit my country, he would not be arrested….

But if he visits, I would send him straight to The Hague.

I wonder if some don’t have this in mind, even at the risk of being called a coward in the press.

I’m shocked to see how people just collectively forgot how the entire Israel vs Hamas conflict began. We just closed our eyes on the massive attack on Israel by Gaza terrorists that launched the whole thing?

I don’t remember Ukraine launching a massive attack on Russia for absolutely no reason.

Everyone knows how geopolitics works, international law isn’t like national law, international law effectively is the opinion of countries no matter if it’s fair or not. The reason the west is in an awkward position with Israel is because it’s traditionally a western ally and the only democracy in the Middle East. Russia is an authoritarian wannabe empire encroaching on Europes borders, there’s a reason we in the west are harsher with Russia.

ICC made itself a joke by trying to prosecute a person whose only crime is defending his country from terrorists

Double standards are Israel and Russia are doing demonstrable harm to the West’s reputation or global standing

Why did Cheney, Bush, Nixon and Kissinger escape justice?

Justice only when it suits their interests is the French government’s approach it seems across many issues. A dangerous precedent.

Wasn’t it always a joke when putin wasn’t arrested in Mongolia?

  15. AttentionLimp194 on

I’m sorry to break it down to you OP but Putin is an asshole and he must be arrested.

By what authority does the ICC claim jurisdiction over a country that is not a signatory?

  17. If they don’t care about the ICC and will let them into here scot-free, I will go to the streets ngl. what is the point of having such contracts if you can choose when do support human rights and when not.
