Good result at least – give him some fucking time to debate his actions the coward.
This seems buried, too:
> He further said the offence was aggravated by the other injured passengers, his very recent disqualification for speeding, and ‘the callous and cowardly way he fled from the scene leaving a child dying and others injured’.
The barrister mentions speeding as if he got 3 points going 35 through a camera. He got a ban, that’s some proper speeding.
>Judge Lodge said those who had helped Tully evade arrest and breathalyser test ‘should hang their heads in shame’.
Well, they should be in prison as well for aiding an offender.
And 12 years is the absolute most he could have been given, since he pleaded guilty. The overall maximum is 18 years (based on sentencing guidelines) and you get an automatic ⅓ off. And he’ll have to serve 8 years, and then he’s banned from driving for another 13 years.
We really need to start banning people for life from driving
Gonna guess he’ll get something like a 3 year driving ban and suspended jail sentence.
A little surprised. How is the make of the car or brand of beverage relevant at all? In fact, how is how much they spent that night of any consequence?
This is…incredible. It’s comical in its evil. How are there people who are this bad?
This guy ran away from the scene, killed a girl and left her to die, ran away with friends and family who covered up his alcohol level. Like, he obviously comes from great wealth.
It’s unbelievable. He will no doubt enjoy a cushy stay in prison, get out early with the help of his lawyers, and probably go on to live exactly the same life has since ever.
I don’t even understand how you can hurt or punish people like this. They operate on a different plane of existence.
Fucking hell, that’s almost got me in tears.

The young victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had been out for dinner with her family in Wembley when they decided to get an ice cream from a McDonald’s in Friern Barnet.
Hopefully his fellow inmates will be extra nice to him!!

Honestly, penalty’s for driving are terrible. 12 point should equal 5 year ban. Breaking that should equal 2 years in prison. Cars should be classed as deadly weapons and thus the law should reflect all injuries in such a way.
Am I reading this correctly? He was driving whilst disqualified for doing 47mph in a 20mph zone.
Then had a night out in a club, drunk happily with his Mates and then took the life of a 12 year old girl?
What a disgusting human being, you aren’t a “Master of the Universe” and neither are your friends.
You are anarrogant man children who will go through the rest of your lives knowing you were responsible for a little girls death.
I pray he gets repeatedly beaten and violated on a daily basis
