Sono tutti sbagliati! Sbagliatissimi! Adoro quanto sia sicuro camminare per la città vecchia, indipendentemente dall’ora della notte. E adoro l’atmosfera generale della città!     To answer your question about the motorway in front of the cathedral – the answer is quite simple: communists. The communist party wanted to build a bridge for their panel housing on the other side of the river, so they have destroyed 1/4 of the historical center to do that.

    It sways because it is a suspended bridge, it has no pillars. I used to hate it as well but got used to it.

    It wasn’t built by the soviets, it was built by us 🙂 You probably just confuse soviet and communist and socialist (soviets were the CCCP [Soviet Union], russians; communist was the only ruling party, both in Czechoslovakia and in the Soviet Union; socialist was the type of government).

    Sad (orchard) Janka Krala is the first public park in Europe. (The biggest one is in Dublin)
