Riscv is both a holy grail and a huge worry at the same time, if western society adopts Riscv as a standard and put off x86 and arm, then China and Russia will solve their microchip dependency completely.

RISC V implementations are still way behind Intel and ARM in terms of internal optimizations and performance, and that even despite the fact that you can run it at 5GHz easily, isn’t helping. Its multicore designs are rare and are subpar. You need a backing of a powerful corporation that could hire the best people in the industry to move RISC V forward. Until then, it will be ARM slowly eating the world (including Intel and AMD).
Didn’t watch the video but I hope the guy explains the shortcomings of RISC V.
