Some towns in luxembourg have restrictions for van parking – typically to give priority to citizens and their visitors and avoid that companies block the parking with their vans. Vans need to apply for a parking permit and in some tows also have to pay a tax. The detailed rules are communal rules and different for each town

Everyone has posted the correct information here, but I’d just like to add that good God, the parking signs in Luxembourg are SO confusing. Different format to anywhere else in Europe. I have gotten parking fines that, even in retrospect, I am pretty sure I correctly followed the signs. At least they don’t tow here, unless you do something really egregious.
