Mia moglie ha avuto una gomma a terra per il suo nuovo lavoro a Oslo e questa cosa era montata sul muro sopra la stufa. Ogni tanto emette un segnale acustico, quindi ho tolto le batterie. Sembra che possa essere un dispositivo per avvisare se qualcosa si sta surriscaldando, è tutto quello che fa oltre a emettere un segnale acustico per avvisare che la batteria è scarica?

It’s called Komfyrvakt. It’s a safety device that cuts power to the stove if it detects overheating.
It’s a *komfyrvakt*, or “stove guard”. It’s purpose is to cut power to the stove if it gets left on and unattended. When it beeps it has detected the stove being on, and you have to press a button to keep power on. These are legally required for all new stove installs in Norway since some years.
