Use Google lens. They invite you to call the number. And if you need a translator that you should say so.

Gewoon langsgaan.

  3. they just want to question you because they think you were involved or you know who was involved

Call the number and they’ll tell you more. It’s always possible somebody used a fake license plate with your numbers on it, or the witness in an accident gave the wrong license plate, because memory can be blurry. Or they said 1 xxx yyy instead of 2 xxx yyy or vice versa.

    It’s not a salduz 3-invitation so you’re not a suspect.

They’ll probably want to know if you saw anything related to an accident.

  6. Ive had a summons like this for some accident on the other side of the country. Was a rental company who gave some sound alike name to the police. The ‘wijkagent’ was embarrassed by the sloppiness of his colleagues. I did the interview in which I pointed out that I bike by the front of the police station every morning around the same time as the accident happened. Never heard anything again.

When the interview is in Wervik, you don’t need a translator. They have subtitles.

  8. I can read the street name and housenumber. It’s not that far from the police station. 😉
