    – this is additional cost for small restaurants that are already paying high taxes

    – this makes it much easier for corrupt policemen to blackmail people

    – when government is taken by undemocratic forces (like it have happened in Georgia) it will be much harder to organize protests

    – the large number of not well maintained cameras will be very easy to hack by enemies of Armenia (like Turkey or Azerbaijan)

  2. This is messed up, we are basically giving russians and az free LIVE access to our daily lives. There are no laws that protect individual’s sensitive data in Armenia so we are fu*ed. Who tf approved this?

Imagine the extreme power that politicians will get, since they will be using the footages to spy on their opponents and blackmail them. Very democratic indeed.

And what about corrupt policemen? Today if you know the guy who knows the guy, you can pay money to monitor the calls of any person you want. Tomorrow when this law passes, policemen will sell services to spy on people, find their lovers etc and blackmail them.

Basically any person in power or who has connections and money, will be able to spy on you and know all the details of your private life because of all the cameras with face recognition.

People who say they have nothing to hide are absolute lunatics and morons! You do have a right for your private life!
