Ho fatto delle ricerche sulle possibili destinazioni per le vacanze nel Nord Europa, preferibilmente lungo la costa o sui laghi. Quando ho letto della Finlandia mi sono imbattuto nella Lapponia e uno degli articoli ha scritto che gli abitanti del Nord Finlandia chiamano la costa "Riviera Lappone"/Lapin Riviera (seriamente). Il termine "Riviera" è comunemente associata alla Costa Azzurra o alla Riviera italiana.
Non ho potuto fare a meno di sorriderne e in qualche modo sembra davvero affascinante.

Btw: There is basically (almost) no coastline in Lapland. Also, Kalajoki is not a part of Lapland and is located nowhere near the Arctic Circle (which is nowhere near a coastline). ChatGTP is making up pretty much the whole text.
Kalajoki does have a coastline and pretty beaches, tho.
They don’t call the coastline that. Apparently there’s a specific sandy beach in Posio, which has the unofficial name Lapin Riviera. Marketing thing basically.
Edit. The specific beach is at Säikänsalmi on the shore of lake Livojärvi. There is also a famous sandy beach with some sand dunes at Kalajoki, which chatGPT is referring to, but it’s not in Lapland.
I have not come across this before. Also Kalajoki is nowhere near Lapland when looking from a Finnish point of view. Yeah it’s closer to Lapland than Helsinki, but not much.
