Vivo a WG e sono stato lontano dall’appartamento per oltre 2 mesi. Quando sono tornato, molti oggetti nell’appartamento sono stati rotti dal mio coinquilino. Inoltre, nel bagno è apparsa la muffa che non c’era prima della mia partenza. Ho provato a pulirlo e raschiarlo via da solo, ma non se ne andava. La situazione della muffa è grave e devo informarne il proprietario?
Inoltre, presto me ne andrò e ho paura che il proprietario mi imponga tutte le fatture per gli oggetti rotti, anche se non vivevo nemmeno nell’appartamento quando si sono verificati i danni.

I’m pretty sure this type of mold is the tenants’ problem, because it’s clearly the result of misuse. Meaning: Too much humidity from showering, not enough venting. You’ll need a dedicated mold remover/cleaner.
Same goes for the broken items. If they belong to the landlord, they’ll take the money out of the deposit – that’s what it’s for. Are you and your room mate both equals in the renting contract? Or is one of you a Untermieter (sub tenant) of the other? Do you have separate deposits?
