Good news, hopefully they can staff it up quickly.
Most problems with our asylum system disappear or are at least greatly alleviated by faster processing. When they doubled the staff over the last year or so processing times went down – like any administrative process it’s a function of manpower and systems.

This is great but they need to start working on giving the large chunk of successful applicants decent homes

The really frustrating thing is that this is history repeating itself and was entirely avoidable
How i started my career in civil service was when they did a similar huge recruitment drive in the early naughties because of the huge influx of asylum seekers and the massive backlog that built up
