    It’s sad that they have to find a very creative way to put the terms “AI” so it gets media attention.

    It may be used to train a very specialized model, but not to infer funny pictures of people riding cats or trying to understand your spreadsheet columns.

    Little surprising that they put a focus on AI in the PR this morning when the ETHZ’s AI+X Summit started. Pretty sure Alps will do all kinds of research, not just AI.

    Why did they call it Alps, but not an other mountain name as usual? It now sounds like this is the last super computer.

    Fun fact: One row of Alp racks has about the same computing power as it predecessor Piz Daint.
