Unbelievable that the councils can have this lack of humanity. Starmer will resolve this
Is there not quite a large elephant in the room missing in this article that would go some way to explaining why this is happening
As someone who was homeless at 16 I thought I might be able to give some insight here but, reading the article, I’m not really sure I have anything that relevant to say. The council gave me accommodation quite quickly, after just a few weeks, and I suspect that’s because I skipped to the top of the queue due to be 16. I spent most of my time hanging out with the other homeless kids. Everyone had quite grim stories that led us there.
We’ve got hotels for people who break the law to come here illegally but God forbid we help our own young
