One part of their peace keeping mission was to prevent Hezbollah building military bases in south Lebanon, clearly they decided to turn a blind eye, After a year of Hezbollah firing rockets in to Israel under their noses they probably should have anticipated Israel would invade. Another example of Irish public sector incompetence.
