Controversial is when opinions are mixed. It’s not controversial, it’s universally hated.

It’s also a reminder that the European Commission does not care about citizens.

  2. I thought the intended destruction of E2EE was bad enough, but automatic “AI” scanning? I know the “think of the children” framing is always a farce with these attempts to eliminate privacy, but this is just straight up horrifically dumb and dangerous.

Anyone who supports this and the parties they belong to should be considered enemies of the European public. I’m not being hyperbolic.

Its fascism. Pure and simple. Sugarcoating it doesnt help.

  4. FlintenUschi – aka Usula v.d. Leyen – is also known as Zensursula, meaning censor Ursula .
She already tried a similar thing 2009 in Germany, where she wanted to put internet sites on a black list to counter CASM. The list was not public, updated regularly and the ISP would have to filter the german interwebs according to that list.

There was a massive backlash against the law from everywhere in society- even from associations working in that field and her own party – and the law never went into action.

And here we are, after 15 years she can finally put her plan into action. CASM is always just a pretext for her getting control over narratives.

Nobody in his right mind should believe that it’s ‘all about the children’.
This is another power grab from the EC, this time to control narratives.

It fits right with her project of ‘streamlining the EU Budget’, by giving the EC the power to withhold EU funds based on EU-Regulations put into local laws.

No money if don’t pass that shiny new regulation into local law.

This woman should have never gotten into this position. Her whole career is filled with botched laws, massive backlash and ‘affairs’.
