In August our Aid group was part of an Aid convoy to Ukraine ,we focus on supplying front line units .

This time after we finished the aid run my wife & l went & visited some friends staying in a family friendly facility in the beautiful Uzhhorod region, who had been seriously injured,many with traumatic,life changing injuries . This is the new technology the surgeons/doctors were talking about that has enabled them to save many limbs & lives that would have been lost just a short time ago .

They hope to train & have a dedicated manufacturing base in the same region at the beginning of next year & then they will be distributed all over Ukraine for immediate use .

Something sobering to think about is a lot of the testing & development for these was done in countries facing huge demand for treatment of traumatic injuries, from the ongoing threat that mines cause for years after conflicts end,a huge task Ukraine faces for years ahead .
