10,000 UK reports of fraud in which Revolut was named – top of UK bank list. Any similar data that you are aware of in Europe?

And generally speaking, I would be interested to know if you trust it with actual savings or only for small amounts to be spent on online shopping, travelling etc? (Or if you don’t trust it at all)

  2. Pretty happy with their services, but i dont’n trust banks.
My stuff is kinda spread on 3 Banks.

Fintech users: “I love it, I don’t need to use 50 authentication methods just to transfer money, it is so fast and easy!”

Also Fintech users: “Why didn’t the bank protect me when I gave my password and authentication code to a scammer over the phone? So unfair!”

Whenever I hear someone being scammed and saying it’s Revolut’s fault, I know for sure it’s the user’s fault.

I know someone who was ‘scammed’ by Revolut. Said that they were taking his money and didn’t want to give it back. Then I found out the guy literally went on some shady website to buy drugs, which was itself a scam.

Now, every time I see someone being ‘scammed’ by Revolut, I think of him and imagine everyone in the same situation.

Revolut is cool, but as a second account. I do not keep any more than 200 Euro there.

PSA since it’s apparently needed: no bank ( especially fintechs ) will call you, you call them ( and they ID you )

No amount of protection a bank can have will save a user from their own stupidity.

To be fair Revolut DOES have shitty security. No 2FA, no fido keys and when it does use 2FA to display card details they use sms codes for fucksakes

    >The e-money firm – which has not yet been granted full status as a bank

If you’re depositing any amount of money with an institution that does not have a full banking license and as such likely no deposit insurance you are crazy. What else do people like this do, buy pacemakers of Craigslist?

  10. I have second-hand experience (close friend) where this happened. Revolut has some insurance issues. They probably save a lot on bad insurance, so they really go the full extent of customer liability to leave them holding the bag and ignore responsibility.
