Ho completato la consegna dell’appartamento il 30 agosto, tutto è stato controllato e non c’era alcuna indicazione che qualcosa non andasse. Negli appartamenti precedenti di solito mi veniva rimborsato il deposito cauzionale circa 2 settimane dopo la consegna, tuttavia il mio attuale proprietario indicava 6-12 mesi per rimborsarmi. È normale? Altrimenti cosa mi consigli di fare, ho davvero bisogno di soldi.

    6-12 months is legal and relatively normal, since it can be kept for up to 6 months and then after that until the Nebenkostenabrechnung comes in and all bills have been settled.

    Unfortunately yes, this is normal. 6 months is basically the legal maximum* they can keep all of the deposit, but they can keep part of it for longer until all utilities are settled.

    (*The law does not define a legal maximum, but this is the number that courts often have come up with.)

    Yes, it doesn’t look like a fraude (yet) , however sometimes it helps to ask friendly (while giving them the Bank account) and of course I would ask every second month again. 

  4. you don’t have to send them your new address, but besides that this is normal in germany.
